Man-eater Leopard spotted at DC office Complex Budgam, disappears before wildlife deptt team arrives

Footprints of Leopard were same, which were found at Ompora, staff deployed at every hotspot to eliminate it: Wildlife official

Budgam, June 09 (KNO): A leopard who mauled a 4-year-old girl to death was spotted on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday inside deputy commissioner’s office complex in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the leopard was spotted by locals and security forces inside DC office premises and they immediately called the wildlife officials.

Meanwhile, an official of wildlife department told KNO that a team of the department reached the spot within no time, however, they couldn’t locate the leopard after search it for at least four hours.

He said that footprints of the leopard was the same as the one who was spotted at Ompora housing colony.

“Footprints were the same we found at Ompora housing colony and we have deployed the staff at every hotspot to eliminate this man-eater leopard,” hee added.

Earlier on 3rd June, four-year-old girl was mauled to death by the leopard after she was taken away by the man-eater from her home in Ompora Housing Colony in Budgam—(KNO)
