Encounter breaks out in Kashmir

Encounter has started between militants and security forces in Pombay area of Kulgam district on Wednesday, police said.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “#Encounter has started at Pombay area of #Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.”

A police official told that following the inputs about presence of Militants in the area, search operation was launched and during which hiding militants opened fire which was responded.

“We have cordoned off the area to nab the hiding militants,” the officer said.
