Top commander of TRF Afaq Sikander killed: IGP Kashmir
Srinagar, November 17:(GNS) Four militants including a top commander of TRF were killed in two different encounters in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS that Top commander of TRF Afaq Sikander has been killed along with other three militants in two separate encounters.
As per the sources one militant is still being engaged in the gunfight.
Earlier Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Pombai and Gopalpora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
