Mahdu Zehra Darul Uloom Divar (Girls) Declared ‘Micro Red Zone’

Kupwara, Nov 18 (GNS): Authorities on Thursday declared ‘Mahdu Zehra Darul Uloom Divar (Girls)’ at Lalpora here as ‘Micro Red Zone’.
Consequently there shall be no inward or outward movement of any person from the Zone and the students/staff shall stay indoors, deputy Commissioner Kupwara Imam Din said in an order, a copy of which lies with GNS.
“Further the surrounding areas of “Mahdu Zehra Darul Uloom Divar (Girls)” are declared as Buffer Zones and the inhabitants of the area shall also restrict their movement and shall not allow visitors to visit their homes without written permission of administrator concerned.”
Abdul Qayoom Wani, CDPO Sogam has been ordered to act as Administrator for Red and Buffer Zone. “The Administrator shall be assisted by Jahangir Ahmad Mir Lecturer Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Tikipora.”
The Administrator/Assisting Officer shall ensure screening/Sampling of students/teachers/other staff members in the Red Zone in coordination with concerned BMO and consequently report to COVID Control Room Kupwara as per the prescribed format by 1:00 Pm on daily basis, the order reads.
“All the officers of the line departments shall ensure the availability of basic facilities Including food grains, LPG, medicines etc. in the Red/Buffer Zones,” the order said, adding, “They shall promptly respond to medical emergencies and concerned BMO shall dedicate one on call ambulance for the Red Zone area.”
The SHO concerned has been asked to ensure barricading at all the entry points of Red Zone to prevent inward and outward movement as per the guidelines. (GNS)
