Mother of Former DIG Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari Dies of Protracted Illness

Kupwara, Jan 9 (GNS): Mother of former DIG and CEO JKCA Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, died of protracted illness at her residence in Shivpora in summer capital Srinagar on Sunday evening.

Jawahira Begum in her 80s, as per a close relative was bed ridden over a considerable period now and subsequently passed away this evening.

The funeral prayers to the departed soul are yet to be announced with the family having decided to perform the last rites at her native village in Shah Mohalla in Drugmulla Kupwara. (GNS)
