Srinagar: Shaharbeen Times: Panic gripped in Iqbal Colony and Indra Nagar Sonwar Srinagar after wild black bear was spotted in the area by locals on Friday morning.
Locals from the area said some people spotted black bear in the area on Friday morning. While talking to our correspondent, A local resident of Indra Nagar Nayan Dhalla said that he spotted black bear in the area and narrowly escaped, he further said that street dogs were chasing the bear.
Locals said that presence of bear have created panic among local residents and requested wildlife authorities to capture the animal at an earliest for the safety of people.
The residents said that they are unable to move outside their residence due to the fear of the bear and requested the department to catch the animal as soon as possible.
