Shopian, 11-Mar: (JKNN/ST) Snow clearance operation begins on Mughal road On the direction of District Administration Shopian as one day back locals made appeal district administration Shopian for it clearance.

84 kms long Mughal Road which connects valley to Poonch and Rajouri, remain closed with snow accumulation during winters.

The work was started by mechanical division in presence of Executive Engineer Mughal Road Shopian, Shabir Ahmad and he said that snow  clearance machines and men will be on job and the snow clearance opperation may take 30 days depending on the amount of snowfall in higher reaches and landslides which usually hinder the operations.

The authorities has started snow clearance operation on Mughal road with orders of Deputy  Commissioner Shopian so that the demand of locals would met as early as possible.

Locals thanked government for taking such step in welfare of the society.
