Kashmir University’s former old head gardner who decorated KU with his golden hands is no more.
Abdul Ahad Bhat, who used to be kashmir University’s head gardner and would decorate gardens and plant trees in university is no more.
As per the veracity officials who knew him, said Bhat was “a man with golden hands”, he used be the chief architect to design garden’s in university during the past.
“These old gardner’s were the first to decorate and design gardens with their barehands without use of modern tools and machinery that we use today,” Said Ajaz Ahmad, a ku offical.
” Legends like him should be honoured for their contribution they did towards society and to veracity which is the highest seat of learning,” he further added.
Bhat died on 15 May, 2022 after brief illness. He was buried at his ancestral graveyard at Saderbal Srinagar. He was the resident of Nigeen Bagh Hazaratbal.
