Militant Killed in Encounter

Srinagar, Nov 30 (KS): A militant was killed in an ongoing encounter in Arihel area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Scroll said upon receipt of inputs about the presence of militants in Arihel area, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

The militants opened fire on the security forces, leading to an encounter.

In the initial exchange of gunfire, a militant has been killed so far.

A top police officer has confirmed to Kashmir Scroll about the killing of a militant in the ongoing encounter. (KS)
