Bail Plea of Hurriyat and JKLF Activists Rejected by TADA Court
Srinagar – A TADA court has declined the bail plea of approximately a dozen activists associated with Hurriyat and JKLF, who were recently arrested and booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The arrests took place during a raid conducted at a hotel in Srinagar.
Special TADA Court rejected the bail application of 10 activists affiliated with JKLF and Hurriyat. They were taken into custody in July of this year based on credible information indicating a meeting of former members of JKLF and erstwhile separatists at a hotel in Srinagar.
A police spokesperson stated that the individuals were brought to Kothibagh Police Station for verification, and an inquiry has since been initiated. Preliminary findings suggest that they were allegedly planning to revive JKLF and Hurriyat, as stated by the spokesperson.
