Imam Ali was a close long standing companion and confidante of the holy Prophet who captivated spritiuality all that which emmited from the Prophet. Therefore it is not surprising the Prophet said Ali is my own soul (ka-nafsi) or expressing that he (the Prophet) is from Ali and Ali is from him (anta minni wa ana minka). Imam Ali is a man of eloquence, a man of chivalry (la fata illa Ali), a man of celebrated calibre who is revered in both the sunni and shia tradition. May Allah ﷻ enoble his countenance.
