24×7 Emergency Control Room Established in Delhi Amid Escalating Iran-Israel Conflict

With the security situation rapidly deteriorating in the West Asia/Middle East, due to the ongoing hostilities between Iran and Israel, the Government of India has stepped up its outreach to ensure the safety of Indian nationals in the region.Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), announced the activation of a 24×7 control room in New Delhi. “A 24×7 Control Room has been established in Ministry of External Affairs in view of the ongoing developments in Iran and Israel,” he said.He provided the following contact details for the MEA control room:• Toll-free: 1800 118 797• Phone: 91-11-23012113 / 23014104 / 23017905• WhatsApp: 91 9968291988,Email: situationroom@mea.gov.inIn addition, India’s Embassy in Tehran has established an emergency helpline to assist Indians across Iran. “The Embassy of India in Tehran, Iran has set up a 24×7 emergency helpline,” Jaiswal stated. Further updates will follow,” the statement said. The embassy has also maintained communication with Indian community leaders in Iran to ensure broader outreach and support.Meanwhile in Israel, the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv has issued fresh safety instructions to members of the Indian community, including caregivers, workers, students, businesspeople, and tourists. According to an advisory dated June 15, the embassy stated that it is in close contact with Israeli authorities and continues to monitor the ground situation.“National Emergency announced by the Govt. of Israel is in place. Airspace is closed.
