Srinagar, Aug 24 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Thursday said that he will leave J&K after completing exemplary and tangible works for people of the UT for which he would be remembered for long.

“Some people say Lieutenant Governor will too leave J&K. I want to convey them surely I will but after finishing exemplary and tangible works for the people of Jammu and Kashmir for which he would be remembered for long,” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as per KNS said while speaking at Raj Bhawan where he inaugurated several developmental projects for central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

LG Sinha said the society should identify those faces who deceived people in past over ‘land for landless’ issue and others. “The J&K administration has received many applications in Jammu region where we found people are eligible to get land. Those alleging us that outsiders are being accommodated in PMAY scheme are speaking absolute lies and trying to stoke trouble amid peaceful atmosphere. They are doing politics on this issue. We asked DDC’s whether any outsider was given land in their respective areas, they said no,” LG Manoj Sinha said.

He said earlier stateland was gobbled by many in J&K but those days are over now. “The exercise of gobbling state land has ended on August 05, 2019. This is intolerable for the government onwards,” LG Sinha said.

“We should provide better environment to our youth instead of inciting them for troubles. Our youth should be given reliable opportunities so that they will excel at international level,” LG Manoj Sinha said and added, “The J&K UT is witnessing massive development and transformation in last three years. This is important century for J&K as transformation is at its highest peak”.

Hitting out at regional political groups, the LG Sinha said people of the UT were made stuck in dreams only. Innocents blood was spilled enough in J&K. But I assure you that I will resolve people’s issues and till then I will not leave J&K. (KNS)
