Seven labourers were killed and 20 others injured after a Bolero pickup vehicle collided with a truck in Gujarat’s Kutch district on Friday morning. The injured have been admitted to Bhuj Civil Hospital for treatment.The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the Bolero’s cabin completely crushed, while the truck became trapped underneath the vehicle. People trapped in the wreckage were heard screaming in pain as rescue efforts began.
Around 30 people were travelling in the BoleroKutch Collector Anil Ranavasia said around 30 people were travelling in the Bolero pickup at the time of the accident.Police personnel deployed at the Aari Park checkpost near the accident site rushed to the spot immediately after the collision. They arranged a crane from a nearby industrial area to rescue the labourers trapped beneath the truck.The injured were subsequently taken to Bhuj Civil Hospital for treatment.
