Encounter: One militant killed, gunfight underway
Srinagar, May 11 (GNS): One militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter at Vailo area of South Kashmirβs Anantnag district on Tuesday.
The encounter had ensued after a team of police and army was fired upon during a cordon-and-search operation launched in the area amid specific information about the presence of the militants.
βOne militant has been killed as his body is visble in the ongoing gunfight. However identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained,β a police officer told GNS. (GNS)
