The government of Jammu and Kashmir has released a new set of instructions for Covid that keep the existing limitations in place, including a night curfew.
As the number of COVID-19 instances in Jammu and Kashmir has continued to rise at an alarming rate in recent days, the J&K government has released a new set of instructions that maintain the existing restrictions, including a night curfew across the union territory. The State Executive Committee (SEC), which was chaired by the Chief Secretary and many other administrative authorities on Friday, made the decision after conducting a thorough examination of the present COVID situation.
As part of the new order, it was determined that further guidelines, in addition to the existing containment measures, are required in all districts due to an uneven trend in daily coronavirus cases with a rising positivity rate. Because the enforcement of COVID Appropriate Behavior (CAB) is crucial in defining the further recommendations, a zero-tolerance policy for non-compliance with COVID Appropriate Behavior will be implemented.
Aside from that, district officers’ inspection teams will carefully monitor the implementation of the measures. Meanwhile, administrative officials have been given orders to constantly oversee the appropriate execution of COVID-19 rules.
