In a major security breach in Karnataka, a mobile phone was thrown at PM Narendra Modi during a road show in the state. Fortunately, the PM narrowly escaped the apparent attack. The phone missed the PM Modi and he escaped unhurt.

The incident took place at KR Circle in Mysuru district. PM Modi is in Karnataka to campaign for the BJP in the Karnataka Assembly elections scheduled on May 10. The result will be announced on May 13.

The incident was reported on Sunday evening when PM Narendra Modi held a big roadshow in Mysuru city. The PM was reportedly was accompanied by former minister K S Eshwarappa, among other senior BJP leaders. The phone was thrown of “excitement” by a woman BJP worker who had no “ill-intention”, PTI said citing police.

According to reports, the prime minister arrived at Maharaja College ground in Mysuru by helicopter. After this, he went on the roadshow from Gun House and during this time, someone threw a mobile phone at him.
The phone hurled at PM Modi hit the roof of the vehicle carrying the prime minister and then fell to the ground. Later, the security men picked up the phone.

The phone throwing incident did not go unnoticed by the Prime Minister who indicated about the object to the Special Protection Group (SPG) sleuths who were accompanying him.
