Woman Allegedly Commits Suicide By Jumping Into River Jhelum in Sgr

Srinagar, April 14 An unknown woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the river Jhelum in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll said that a lady jumped into the river Jehlum from a cement bridge in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar this afternoon.

Soon after the incident, teams of police from SDRF reached the spot and launched a rescue operation to retrieve the body.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the rescue operation is on.
