Rajouri, May 3: The police has booked a Government school teacher for severely beating up a Class 3 boy and causing damage to his ear in Kotranka area.

Official sources said that the incident took place on Friday at Govt Middle School Sada, in Kotranka Educational Zone. The In-charge Headmaster of the School was performing some official work. This 8 year-old boy had gone for toilet. The class students were making a noise. As the boys arrived back, the furious I/C Headmaster severely beat up the boy and slapped on his ear.

Suddenly, his ear started bleeding and a deep wound was developed on it. The teacher sensing trouble took this boy to a medical shop and got bandage on it and then sent the boy to his home without telling about the incident. As the bleeding did not stop, the parents took the boy to Kotranka Hospital where doctors provided initial treatment and then referred the boy to GMC Rajouri for deep would and damage caused to the ear.

Meanwhile, from the boy and other students the parents came to know about the actual incident. The father of the child, Mohd Shabir lodged an FIR No. 49/ 2024 at Kotranka Police Station against the I/C Headmaster. The SHO sent a police party to teacher’s house for arrest but he slipped away, a police official said.–(Daily Excelsior)
