Srinagar 9th May: Athar Naqvi, a towering figure in the religious community and the Naib Amir of Jamiat Ahl Hadith Hind, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of knowledge and wisdom. The President of Jamiat Ahlihadith Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Abdul Latif al-Kindi expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
Naqvi was not only a great scholar but also a well-known writer, high-level intellectual, leading writer, respected editor of Journal Tarjaman Delhi, and Vice President of Jamiat Ahl Hadith Hind. His contributions to the field of religious studies and literature are immense.
In a condolence statement, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Kandi, President of Jamiat Ahl Hadith, Jammu and Kashmir, praised Naqvi’s knowledge, understanding, intelligence, as well as his friendliness, hospitality, humility, modesty, and friendship. He prayed for Naqvi’s soul to be granted eternal paradise and for patience for the bereaved family.
Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi, the Amir of Central Jamiat, expressed concern and assured that Jamiat Ahle Hadith Jammu and Kashmir stands with Naqvi’s family. He stated that all units across India Jamiat are praying for the forgiveness and elevation of the deceased.
