Bandipora, Kashmir: In a tragic incident, two houses were completely damaged by fire in the village of Wagnoo Bankoot Bandipora, during the previous night. Local residents while speaking to Shaharbeen Times described the difficult conditions they are enduring citing that access to the village is obstructed by a boundary wall built by a nearby private school preventing fire tenders from reaching the scene promptly.
Villagers expressed frustration over the lack of basic amenities highlighting an inadequate drinking water supply which contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Residents are appealing to the concerned MLA and Deputy Commissioner to urgently visit the area as the fire has resulted in significant property loss. They have requested authorities to investigate the road blockage issue and address the severe water shortage affecting their daily lives.
