The Kashmir valley experienced its coldest night of the season on Tuesday, as temperatures dropped further. Mercury levels fell below freezing at most places, including Srinagar. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast dry weather over the next 24 hours, with severe cold likely to persist.Following recent snowfall in the mountains, the valley has seen consistently dry weather, contributing to plummeting temperatures. The meteorological department has indicated that the current weather pattern will continue until December 18.On Tuesday, the valley witnessed no relief from the biting cold, as temperatures dropped further across all regions. In Srinagar, residents endured the season’s coldest night with the mercury plunging to -5.4 degrees Celsius, the lowest recorded this winter.
