New CJ, new DGP

The High Court of J&K and Ladakh got its new (37th) Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan in 2024.Following assembly elections, UT this year also witnessed former Director General NSG and a man of few words, focussed only on action, Nalin Prabhat taking over as its new Director General of Police (DGP), J&K.Known as a counter-insurgency expert, seasoned IPS officer from Andhra Pradesh cadre, Nalin Prabhat took over the reins as 18th J&K Police Chief on the retirement of his equally illustrious predecessor R R Swain on October 1.
