Srinagar, March 14: According to the Chief Engineers of Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu & Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), a power shutdown schedule has been announced for various areas due to essential maintenance work, tree cutting, pole installations, and transmission line relocation.

To carry out maintenance work on the 33KV Bemina-Barbarshah TRC Tap line, power shutdown will be observed on March 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, no receiving station or area will be affected as this line serves as a backup to the 33KV Cheshmashahi-TRC Nedous Line. Similarly, on March 17, 2025, power supply to Khanda, Wagoora, Gowherpora, Wadipora, Kultreh, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM due to the shutdown of the 33KV Pampore Khanda Tap line for tree cutting work.

As per the Chief Engineer of JKPTCL, the relocation of the 132KV D/C Delina-Amargarh Transmission Line Circuit-2nd at Delina Grid Station will result in a power outage on March 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting Sopore, Amargarh, Baramulla, Watergam, and nearby areas. Additionally, on March 20, 2025, commissioning of the Bus Bar protection system at the 220/132KV Grid Station Alusteng will lead to power shutdown in Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Nagbal, and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

On the same day, due to maintenance work on the second transformer bank at the 220/132KV Grid Station Alusteng, power supply to the aforementioned areas will again be disrupted from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Similarly, on March 17 and 19, a power shutdown on the 33KV Pattan-Amargarh line will impact Pattan, Palhalan, Hamray, and nearby areas from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Furthermore, on March 18 and 20, the shutdown of the 33KV HMT line will affect power supply to Singhpora, Mirgund, SKUAST, SSM College, and adjoining areas.

On March 17 and 19, a shutdown of the 33KV Bandipora line will impact Waltab, Tujjar, and Dooru from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM due to pole installation work. Similarly, on March 19, the 33KV Arampora line shutdown will affect Arampora, Panzipora, Sheer Colony, and Bugoo. On March 24, 2025, the 33KV Achabal-Nowpora Tap line will undergo maintenance, affecting power supply in Achabal and its adjoining areas from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

On March 17 and 18, the stabilization of the 33KV Dolipora line will cause power shutdown in Tarathpora, Kalmoona, Vilgam, Magam, Neelipora, Geeripora, Dolipora, and nearby areas. Similarly, on March 19, power supply to Tangmarg, Gulmarg, and Kulhama will be affected due to work on the 33KV Gulmarg line.

On March 16, maintenance work on the 33KV Pampore-Lethpora line will lead to a power shutdown in Samboora, Lethpora, Patalbagh, Chandhara, Konibal, Dusoo, and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Furthermore, on March 18, 20, and 22, the shutdown of the 33KV LIS Lethpora Tap line will impact LIS Ladoo-I, II, and III, along with nearby areas.
