Srinagar, Apr 23 : A complete shutdown is being observed across the Kashmir Valley today in protest against the terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists, dead.

As per details available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) all shops, business establishment, schools, and colleges are shut in the Kashmir Valley following a shutdown call given by traders, travel agencies and transporters to mourn the killing of 26 civilians.

Similarity, Srinagar’s Lal Chowk, the commercial hub, also remained shut with all shops closed and streets deserted.

Meanwhile, Srinagar airport witnessed an unusual rush of tourists, many of them trying to leave early. Long queues were seen at departure gates as uncertainty loomed over travel plans.

After paying tributes to 26 civilians killed in the attack, Amit Shah left for Pahalgam to visit the terror attack site. Unprecedented security measures are in place across Jammu and Kashmir, while a red alert has been issued ton Delhi and other major cities following the deadly attack—(KNO)
