Faisal, who ran a wholesale cosmetic business near Nowhatta, had travelled to Bhopal on a work-related visit.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out after a mobile phone left on charge inside the shop exploded. At the time, a barber working in the premises was using chemical products, which are believed to have caught fire due to the blast. The flames spread rapidly, trapping everyone inside.
Local sources said the blaze caused extensive damage to the shop’s interior and claimed the lives of all eight individuals
