Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday evening said that gunshots were heard in Lowdara village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

A top police officer told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that “Soon after the incident, a joint team of Army and police launched a search operation in Lowdara area of the district.
“A few gunshots were heard near Lowdara village following which a search operation was launched in the area of the village,” the officer said, adding that a search operation is underway and the details about the incident are awaited. (KDC)
