Anantnag, Jul 1 Jammu and Kashmir Police in Anantnag continuing with its unwavering commitment towards safety and well-being of Amarnath pilgrims earned accolades and prayers for its humane approach on at least three occasions in a single day.
“In a swift and compassionate response, the Anantnag Police sprang into action to rescue a yatri suffering from oxygen problems at Panjtarni. The individual suddenly became unconscious and was promptly shifted to the base camp hospital by the police team. Their timely intervention ensured the yatri received critical medical attention, averting any potential harm,” reads a statement issued to GNS.
“Moreover, a Police party from Police Post Sheshnag carried a differently-abled yatri on their lap, ensuring his journey to the Holy Cave was not hindered. The yatri, who faced difficulties due to his disability, was assisted by the Police team, who went above and beyond to ensure his safety and well-being.”
“Furthermore, the Anantnag Police found an unclaimed bag containing Rs 95,000 in cash at Chandanwari. Through swift efforts, the rightful owner, a yatri en route to the Holy Cave, was identified and traced. The cash was handed over to the relieved yatri after proper documentation,” the statement reads.
The humane approach of the Police earned the men in uniform accolades and prayers from the pilgrims and locals alike. (GNS)
