Srinagar, December 6, 2024: Shaharbeen Times: A severe cold wave has engulfed the Kashmir Valley, with temperatures plummeting to record lows. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a bone-chilling minimum temperature of -4.1°C.

Shopian Records Season’s Coldest Night
Shopian district emerged as the coldest place in the Valley, with a minimum temperature of -6.6°C. This is the lowest temperature recorded in the region so far this season.

Freezing Temperatures Across the Valley
The biting cold has affected all parts of the Valley, with most places recording sub-zero temperatures.

Impact on Daily Life
The extreme cold wave has had a significant impact on daily life in the Valley. The government has taken several measures to mitigate the impact of the cold wave, including providing relief to the affected population, ensuring the availability of essential supplies.
As the cold wave continues to grip the region, authorities are urging people to stay safe and take necessary precautions to avoid health risks.
