Bus, Carrying Marriage Party, Rolls Down Road in Majouri Udhampur, Casualties Feared

Srinagar, Jul 7 (GNS): A bus carrying a marriage party met with an accident in Majouri of Ramnagar area in Udhampur district, with officials fearing several casualties.
An official told GNS that the bus skidded and rolled down a road this afternoon. “A rescue operation was instantly launched at the site to rescue the persons on board the vehicle”, he said adding “Although there were no reports of any injury or loss of lives however given the nature of accident there are apprehensions of several casualties in the incident.”
SSP Udhumpur Dr. Vinod Kumar confirming the incident to GNS said that a police party was on job at the site.
Meanwhile Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed his sadness over the incident. “Saddened to receive the news of road accident at Majodi, in Ramnagar area of district Udhampur. Just now spoke to DC, Krittika Jyotasna, she is keeping me constantly updated”, the Union Minister said in a tweet.
In a subsequent tweet, Singh further said; “My condolences with bereaved families. All possible help being provided to the injured, those requiring to be referred for further treatment will be accordingly shifted.”
