Jammu, July 19 : At least 12 people were injured after a passenger bus travelling from Udhampur to Jammu met with an accident near Jhajjar Kotli on Saturday morning.
Eyewitnesses said the speeding bus (JK02AT 2279), veered off the road, resulting in a serious crash that left the vehicle severely damaged. Emergency teams, including police and ambulances, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment.
Officials said the condition of some of the injured is critical. The cause of the accident is attributed to over-speeding.
Police have registered a case in this regard. [KNT]
