In a proactive initiative aimed at strengthening infrastructure and boosting tourism potential, Chief Executive Officer of Kokernag Development Authority (KDA), Mohd Rouf Rahman (JKAS), conducted an early morning surprise visit to the Municipal Office in Achabal town today.

During his visit, the CEO inspected the proposed site for the new Bus Stand and held an on-spot meeting with the Municipal Committee Achabal (MC Achabal) staff. He urged the officials to maintain cleanliness in both the market and garden areas, emphasizing the importance of a clean and organized environment to attract more tourists, pilgrims, and locals to the Kokernag region.

Mohd Rouf Rahman also impressed upon the staff to work diligently and contribute towards enhancing the overall aesthetic and infrastructural standards of Achabal town.

Later in the day, the CEO visited Chhattapal, Achabal, where he reviewed the condition of KDA huts and interacted with employees of the Achabal-Chhattapal sector. The purpose of the visit was to encourage the field staff, understand their challenges, and assess their preparedness for accommodating an expected increase in tourist footfall in the upcoming season.

The visit was widely appreciated by local residents, who welcomed the CEO’s on-ground engagement and commitment towards improving tourism infrastructure and services in the region.
