School principal apologises for hurting sentiments of student, parents
Srinagar June 8(KNS):In response to protests by students alleging a ban on wearing the ‘Abaya,’ Principal of Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School in Rainawari, Srinagar, has clarified that the claims of a ban on female students wearing the Abaya are false and unfounded.
In a statement issued to the Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Principal emphasized that the school management holds deep respect for the sentiments of all sections of society regarding the dress code.
He clarified that the school has not imposed any restrictions on wearing the Abaya. Instead, students were politely requested to wear their school uniform underneath the Abaya. The principal further said that there are no restrictions on wearing the Abaya within the classrooms.
Addressing any misunderstandings that may have arisen during recent conversations with students and parents, she sincerely apologized for any unintentional hurt caused to the sentiments of students or parents. She also reiterated the school’s commitment to inclusivity and understanding.
