Persons with disabilities real life heroes,Wheelchair cricket association Jammu and Kashmir and Licot Formulations Pvt Ltd in collaboration with DALSA Budgam organised an event on the eve of World Disability Day in which dignitaries from district Budgam and Srinagar showed their presence.
While talking to media personelles, the president Wheelchair Cricket Association J&K Waseem Feroz Mattoo requested the Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to implement the Act 2016 as soon as possible and create new job opportunities for specially abled educated youth.
He also requested the administration to provide accessible and barrier free environment in both the districts viz Srinagar and Budgam. On this occassion, the chief guest Mr Syed Abdul Qasim, Joint Commisoner admn SMC also shared his views and appreciated the Wheelchair Cricket team for their excellent performance in Wheelchair Cricket Championship which was held in Vododara Gujrat.
Later he tweeted about the event and appreciated the team again. Sales officer Licot also shared his views and assured future support from his side for the upliftment and betterment of Wheelchair cricket and specially abled youth of the valley. The resource persons from District Legal Service Authorities, who were also the part of the programme, shared their valuable opinions and assured full legal support to PWD sector, not just in one but all other legal procedures.Among the dignitaries, ADDC Budgam Mr Akramullah Tak concluded the event with his speech and assured his full support to the persons with special abilities.
