Javed Ahmad Tak recieved Padma Shree Award
Bijbehara Kashmir A young energetic person bound to wheelchair for last more than twenty years fighting for the rights of persons with disabilities in J&K and leading the disability sector was awarded India’s 4th highest civilian award at Rashtrapati bhavan Delhi.
Shri Ramnath Kovind in presence of vice president Prime minister of India, and Home minister felicitated Mr Tak. Javed Ahmad Tak has track record of providing Education to hundreds of children with disabilities dropped out from schools due to one or another reason. In addition he has been advocating for the rights of persons with cross disabilities at has represented disability sector at national and international level. Tak has recieved various felicitions at state and national level and has been selflessly working for the upliftment of the disability Sector at grass root level.
Earlier on 29 November 2015 Prime minister of India in his talk show Mann ki baat described Javed Ahmad Tak as saviour for persons with disabilities who has no anger or worry about his disability.
Disability sector of Jammu and Kashmir has also high regards and trust in Jammu and Kashmir. Javed has been considered at knot for cross disability associations of J&K.
