Srinagar Shaharbeen Times: The Kashmir Valley is abuzz with excitement as it prepares to host its inaugural Formula-4 car race, promising a thrilling experience for motorsports enthusiasts. Set to take place on Sunday, March 17, the event will see top Formula drivers showcasing their talents along a scenic 1.7km route from Lalit Ghat to Nehru Park.
Ahead of the race, a crucial meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, to ensure flawless arrangements. Bidhuri highlighted the event’s potential to inspire youth and boost adventure tourism in the region.
Safety measures are paramount, with Bidhuri directing officials to prepare the route meticulously, including road leveling and pothole repairs. Stringent safety protocols, such as C-type 2-tier barricades, medical teams, and security arrangements, have been put in place.
The collaborative efforts of various dignitaries, including the Vice Chancellor of LCMA, Director of Tourism, and Racing Promotions Private Ltd., have been instrumental in organizing this landmark event. The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has also confirmed the event, inviting everyone to witness the spectacle at Dal Lake Boulevard.
