Masjid Theft Case: Accused Arrested, Stolen Property Recovered in Srinagar: Police
Srinagar, September 25:(GNS) Police on Sunday said that it has solved the case of Masjid Theft in Panthachowk area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
In a handout to GNS, the police said that on 23rd September Police Station Pantha Chowk received a written report from Intizamia of Masjid Committee of Masjid e Aisha that some burglar has stolen some cash and water taps from three mosques in the locality.
A police spokesperson further said that an FIR No. 97/2022 under relevant provisions of law was registered and investigation was taken up.
During the course of investigation CCTV Cameras installed inside one of mosques and few cameras installed in the lanes were perused and the accused was identified, he said.
