Militants trigger blast killing 2 soldiers, injuring 4 others in J&K’s Rajouri
Rajouri, May 5: Two army personnel have been killed and four others, including an officer, were injured on Friday morning in a blast triggered by militants during a cordon and search operation in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the incident took place as the army team was conducting a search operation in the Kandi Forest area of Rajouri Sector.
According to army officials, militants belong to the same group that ambushed an army truck on April 20 in which at least five soldiers were killed and one more was injured.
Meanwhile authorities on Friday suspended mobile internet services in Rajouri following a fierce encounter between militants and the security forces in Kandi Forest area of the district.
