Mother-baby duo die in Poonch road accident, father, son injured
Poonch, Jan 4, KNT: A woman and her 4-month-old baby died while the husband and another kid of the deceased woman sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a bus on Poonch-Jammu highway on Wednesday.
Sources said there was a head on collision between an Alto Car and a bus. Among the four members of the family on board, the woman and her baby died on the spot while the husband and son of the deceased woman have been shifted to District Hospital Nowshera for treatment.
Sources identified the deceased as 26-year-old woman Saima Kausar and her 4-month-old son Danish. The injured are Saima’s husband Muhammad Anees (30) and 4-year-old son Mohieez Ahmed, residents of Manjkote Poonch.
Police seized the bus, arrested the driver, and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
