Srinagar, Sep 14 : National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah has raised a red flag over the no existence of Muslim representation for BJP in the Narendra Modi-led central cabinet.
Speaking to media, as per news agency—Kashmir Bulletin (KB), Abdullah lambasted the party for not having any Muslim ministers and termed it ‘a clear signal by the BJP that it has little regard for minority interests’.
He said the BJP’s action inflicts dent on its credibility and can be described as nothing more than a tactical move to fool the Muslim voters in Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah said this in response to a visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Doda, where Modi campaigned for BJP candidates.
The criticism by Abdullah represents the ongoing debates related to representation and inclusivity in Indian politics.— (KB)
