Poonch, Aug 8 One person died and two others were injured in a road accident at Tota Gali near Bhimber Gali on the Jammu-Poonch National Highway in Mendhar area of Poonch district on Friday.
An official told , that the accident involved a private taxi (Baleno) and a private car, resulting in severe damage to both vehicles and injuries to at least three persons.
Army personnel deployed nearby swiftly responded to the incident, rescuing the injured and evacuating them to a nearby Army hospital for urgent medical treatment. One of the injured later succumbed to injuries.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated further investigation.
