Srinagar, Apr 22: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will respond befittingly against BJP’s misadventures on polling days.
Mehbooba was addressing a public rally in south Kashmir’s Anantnag. “Jammu & Kashmir needs a strong voice to speak up against the machination of New Delhi. I am sure that people will reply befittingly against BJP’s misadventures on polling days,” Mehbooba said.
She said the ongoing contest for Lok Sabha is not confined to PDP or NC, rather it is a collective fight and people have to play their role in it. “My power is not valuable till you will not back me. J&K needs a credible voice who will represent aspiration of J&K people in the Parliament,” she said.
She also said that decisions taken after August 05, 2019 were “illegal” and “unconstitutional” and New Delhi have no option left other than to reverse these declarations.
She praised people of Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, saying, “I’m not confined to one place. Bijbehara is my home town , and the people here have raised me”.
To a query she said every contest remains tough for a candidate but the love I received here from my people is heartwarming. She said that people of Jammu and Kashmir has understood that there is a need of strong voice who will speak up on the atrocities committed by New Delhi after August 05, 2019.
