Prominent Gathering of Ahl-e-Hadith Representatives in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: The central advisory council of the Ahl-e-Hadith community in Jammu and Kashmir convened a representative assembly, featuring impactful speeches by esteemed leaders and officials.

Speaking from the platform, President of the Ahl-e-Hadith Society, Professor Ghulam Mohammad Butt Al-Madani, highlighted the organization’s unwavering commitment to propagate and promote the teachings of Islam through various avenues of preaching, education, and humanitarian service. He emphasized the paramount importance of unity within the community and called upon all responsible individuals and the general public to fulfill their duties towards fostering this unity.

Professor Butt further underlined the foundation of the Ahl-e-Hadith’s efforts in the provisions of the Quran and Sunnah, asserting that a strong and enduring structure of unity can be built upon these sacred principles, thereby combating the rising moral challenges, unethical behaviors, and social issues plaguing society. He expressed deep concern for the disturbing surge in heinous crimes, immoral actions, drug-related incidents, and attacks on parents by misguided youth, asserting that neglecting these sensitive matters could have catastrophic consequences.

Addressing these issues, he stressed the urgency of a united approach to societal reform, urging everyone to join forces and strive for the betterment of society through sustained, holistic efforts. He highlighted the anguish felt for marginalized and downtrodden individuals in society and called for extending a helping hand to uplift them.

Professor Butt commended the significant role played by the Ahl-e-Hadith community in establishing the newly constructed “Zia-ul-Nurain Hospital,” expressing gratitude to those who contributed to its realization. He further appealed for generous support to equip the hospital with necessary machinery and resources, asserting that this endeavor is a collective responsibility.

Addressing the assembly, Vice President of the Ahl-e-Hadith, Dr. Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Kindi, summarized the organization’s diverse efforts in the fields of propagation, education, teaching, healthcare, and philanthropy. He highlighted the joy of witnessing the expanding sphere of influence of the Ahl-e-Hadith community and stressed the importance of maintaining disciplined conduct and awareness to ensure continued benefits.

Dr. Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Kindi expressed appreciation for the tireless work of preachers, educators, imams, scholars, and advocates of truth within the Ahl-e-Hadith community, acknowledging their dedication and emphasizing the need to adhere to the eloquent approach of presenting Quranic and Sunnah teachings. He emphasized the significance of wisdom and prudence in choosing words, underscoring that sincere efforts can yield the desired objectives.

The representative gathering saw participation from esteemed members of the Ahl-e-Hadith community hailing from various regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly concluded with heartfelt supplications.
