Summer Vacations Announced for Schools Across Kashmir Amid Heatwave
Schools to Remain Closed from July 6 to July 19: DSEK
Srinagar, June 30 (NNB): In view of the ongoing heatwave across the Kashmir Valley, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Tuesday announced summer vacations for all government and private schools in the Kashmir Division.
Director School Education Kashmir, Naseer Ahmad Wani, said that the summer break will be observed from July 6 to July 19, 2026, with both days included.
The decision has been taken in view of the prevailing high temperatures to ensure the safety and well-being of students and school staff. Educational institutions across the Kashmir Division will remain closed during the vacation period and are scheduled to reopen after the break, subject to any further instructions issued by the Directorate.
