The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026, paving the way for undergraduate admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical courses across India.
This year, more than 11.21 lakh candidates qualified the highly competitive entrance examination, making them eligible to participate in the upcoming counselling process for medical and allied health science programmes.
Punjab’s Aryan Gupta and Haryana’s Panshul Bansal emerged as the joint national toppers, each securing an impressive 715 marks to share All India Rank (AIR) 1. The NTA also confirmed that 138 candidates scored above 690 marks, reflecting intense competition among the country’s top-performing aspirants.
Along with the results, the agency has released the All India Rank list, state-wise toppers, category-wise merit lists, qualifying cut-offs and language-wise performance statistics. Candidates can access their individual scorecards through the official NEET portal.
The timely declaration of results is expected to keep the medical counselling and admission schedule on track, enabling eligible candidates to compete for seats in government and private medical, dental and AYUSH institutions across the country.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the counselling schedule shortly, while state counselling authorities will release their respective admission calendars in the coming weeks.
