Angry protesters pelt stones at police in Uttarakhand’s Diwali Khal area
Many police personnel were reportedly injured after angry protesters pelted stones at them near Garsain in Uttarakhand.
The protesters were marching towards the Uttarakhand Assembly demanding the widening of the 19-km road from Ghat to Nandprayag.

They turned violent and pelted stones when security personnel tried to stop them from marching towards the Assembly.
Police later used water cannons and lathi charge to disperse the violent mob.
