Today, mostly dry weather is expected in Kashmir. However, in a few spots, there is a possibility of an intense shower towards late afternoon/evening.
Rains can make a comeback as early as 15th August morning in some spots. The system will although take time to settle down properly.
On the same day, there is a possibility of intense thundershowers in some areas particularly towards late afternoon/evening.
On 16th August, there is a possibility of rain showers in many areas. Short intense thundershowers are possible.
These weather activities may extend till 17th August.
Meanwhile Srinagar today Recorded Temperature Maximum of 35.3 Degree Celsius while Jammu recorded 33.2 Degree Celsius.
Note:
- No continuous rainfall is expected during this period.
- Risk of flash floods & cloudbursts is high.
- Day temperatures are expected to come down significantly.
- Due to varying nature of the system, there is no specific time when an area will receive showers. Area-wise timings of showers will vary. The probability that every area may receive at least a shower is very high.
- Risk of shooting stones/landslides possible along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway stretch.
