Beijing, July 14. : In a significant diplomatic engagement, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Chinese Vice President Han Zheng shortly after arriving in Beijing on Monday.
Dr. Jaishankar conveyed India’s support for China’s ongoing presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), underscoring New Delhi’s commitment to regional cooperation and multilateralism.
The EAM acknowledged signs of improvement in India-China bilateral relations and expressed optimism about his ongoing visit. “Confident that our discussions will sustain this positive momentum,” he said.
The high-level meeting marks an important step in continued diplomatic dialogue between the two Asian giants, amid efforts to stabilize ties and enhance regional cooperation through platforms like the SCO. ANB
