Early monsoon arrival expected in Delhi, 10 days before schedule

Delhi’s days of grappling with intense heat are numbered as the southwest monsoon is likely to reach the capital 10 days ahead of its scheduled arrival, the weather department said on Thursday.Typically, the monsoon arrives in Delhi around June 30, but an India Meteorological Department (IMD) report suggests it could make its presence felt as early as the third week of June.
