Srinagar, December 14: Encounter has started between militants and government forces in Uzrampathri area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
A joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Uzrampathri.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed to News agency (GNS) about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As per the Police Officer Twitter Account One Unidentified Militant has been killed. Reportedly 2 to 3 militants are believed to be trapped.
